Tbilisi has a cheap, functional metro (1 GEL flat) plus an extensive bus network — all payable with the MetroMoney card or contactless credit card. Marshrutkas are the workhorse for intercity travel: fast, frequent, and always cash-only. For longer routes, Georgian Railway offers comfortable overnight trains.
